This is a very nice original handcolored engraving it has written on the lower border,"sold and published in 1794 by the Morland Gallery on Old Bond Street London, This image was republished in 1799 by Orme.The image is in very nice condition for a print this age its remarkable. The plate mark measures 16X21 1/4", there is only some very faint toning to the sky,there are no tears, or serious stains on the sheet, the print is loose not laid down.

In excellent condition with the exception of being laid down and cut to the edge of the plate mark. A few skillfully mended tears in the margins. Image size: 18 3/8 x 24 inches. Sheet size: 19 3/4 x 24 3/4 inches approx. A pair of beautiful images after Morland: 'a master of genre and animal painting, an artist worthy to be placed in the same rank as the best of those Dutch masters whom he studied as a boy' (DNB).
